WPI Project Leader, Alon Ben-Meir is a professor of international relations and Middle Eastern studies at the New School University, and New York University.

Experience:  
He earned his master's degree in philosophy and a doctorate in international relations from Oxford University. Dr. Ben-Meir has authored numerous books, among them The Middle East: Imperatives and Choices, Israel: The Challenge of the Fourth Decade, In Defiance of Time, and Framework for Arab-Israeli Peace. He contributes to several periodicals including Strategic Review, Middle East Insight, and the Middle East Policy.
