INTERNSHIP
PROGRAMS
The World
Policy Institute's Internship Program, offers advanced undergraduate
and graduate students the opportunity to gain practical experience
in policy research and advocacy on international issues by assisting
with the production of the World Policy Journal and conducting
research for the Institute's senior fellows.
The World Policy
Institute (WPI) at New School University is a research and education
policy center that seeks innovative solutions to critical problems
facing the United States and the world. WPI has been a source of
informed policy leadership for close to 40 years. It is renowned
for its cutting-edge analysis on managing the global economy, constructing
a workable system for collective security and fostering civil society.
The Institute focuses broadly on the preservation of democratic
values, the protection of civil rights, the advancement of tolerance,
fairness and the rule of law, and the support of a capitalism tempered
by social justice.
The Institute
offers the following internships:
Fall semester
internships for academic credit, application deadline is July 31,
interviews are held in August. The internship is from the last week
of August to the first week of December;
Spring
semester internships for academic credit, application deadline is
November 30, interviews held December/January. The internship is
from the last week of January to the first week of May; and
Summer
internships for academic credit, application deadline is February
28, with interviews in March. The internship is from the last week
of May to the first week of August.
Duties of
an Intern for each time frame are varied:
Assist
Senior Fellows with research
Assist
the Director and Program Coordinator
Assist
in the management of fundraising efforts and events
Assist
with the production of the annual report and newsletter
Assist
with general office duties
An applicant

a WPI Senior Fellow
