Jeffrey
Madrick is currently the editor of Challenge Magazine, a bimonthly
economics publication. He also writes a mnothly column on economics
for The New York Times. Madrick got his MBA from Harvard
University in 1971. He began his career as a staff writer and columnist
for Money magazine, and later finances editor and columnist for
Business Week Magazine.In 1983, he became an on-air economics correspondent
for NBC News and wonan Emmy Award. He has written several books,
including Taking America (a history of hostile corporate
takeovers) and The End of Affluence chosen by the NY Times
as one of the notable books of 1995. Today he is a regular
contributor to The New York Review of Books, the Sunday Business
Section of The New York Times and many other newspapers and
magazines,and he appears frequently on TV and radio.
